PATOLIS Corporation

Apr, 2001 PATOLIS Corporation relocates its headquarters to Shiohama, Koto-ku, Tokyo and launches its business (President: Yutaka Wada). JAPIO transfers its businesses for private sectors, including PATOLIS service, BUNSAN service (serviced as online patent information retrieval system), and Patent Gazette copying service, to PATOLIS Corporation.
May, 2002 Obtains ISO9000 certification.
Oct, 2003 Obtains Japanese distributorship for Questel・Orbit (France)
Starts selling PATOLIS-Transer
Nov, 2003 Launches PATOLIS-IV (consists of PATOLIS-Web, C/W, C/T, and PATOLIS-L)
Launches Outsourcing Service
Apr, 2004 Launches Patent Appraisal Service

Japan Patent Information Organization (Japio)

1971 In response to the parliamentary resolution, The Japan Patent Information Center (JAPATIC) is established with financial support from the government and private sectors, centered around the Japan Business Federation.
1978 PATOLIS,Japan’s first on-line patent information retrieval system, is developed and launched, with the provision of patent information from Japan Patent Office.
1985 The Japan Patent Information Organization (JAPIO) is established through the integration of JAPATIC and the service sector of patent information of Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII).
Nov, 2000 PATOLIS Corporation is established and the business transfer agreement is concluded between PATOLIS Corporation and JAPIO.
